Participant Researcher - Lleah Smith

ART/PLAY/RISK engaged artist and researcher Lleah Smith to document and reflect upon the ‘Play Beyond Playgrounds’ symposium, with the intent of generating an additional layer of intellectual and creative knowledge. Throughout the two days Lleah immersed herself in the audience, and recorded accidental moments of art, play and risk. She termed her findings as 'leaky knowledge', defined as “unexpected learnings that emerge organically through the set conditions”. Lleah mapped each speaker's presentations and the audience reflections, building new relationships between words and concepts on the page.
